As a child I spent many hours drawing and colouring, rarely was I without a pencil in my hand. My love for art has never ceased and throughout my life I have indulged in my passion intermittently. Working as a nurse and midwife in the NHS has taken much of my time but my love of sketching and painting remains and now more than ever I use it as a relaxing and therapeutic hobby. 

I like to work intuitively using a variety of mediums and mixed media, I mainly use acrylics but I am also currently experimenting with inks and pastels…and I can’t resist a bit of sparkle or metallic leaf now and then. My love of wildlife and nature shows through in my choice of subject – although more recently I have been challenging myself to capture landscapes and city scenes.
